How long does countertop installation take?

Most projects are completed within 3–5 business days after the final template, depending on material availability and project complexity.

Is quartz better than granite?

Quartz is non-porous, requires no sealing, and is extremely easy to maintain. Granite is a natural stone with unique patterns and excellent durability. The best choice depends on your style, budget, and maintenance preferences.

Does granite need to be sealed?

Yes. Granite is a natural stone and should be sealed periodically to maintain its resistance to moisture and stains.

Is every natural stone slab different?

Absolutely. Every slab is unique, offering natural colors and patterns that cannot be duplicated.

Do you remove old countertops?

Yes. We can remove your existing countertops before installing your new ones.

Can you install my sink?

Yes. We professionally install undermount sinks as part of the countertop installation. Plumbing reconnection is not included. We need you to have your sink on site on measurements day.

Will there be seams?

Some countertops require seams depending on slab size, layout, and transportation requirements. We always place seams in the least noticeable locations possible.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. Most projects require a deposit before fabrication begins, with the remaining balance due upon project completion.

How do I keep my countertops looking new?

Use cutting boards, wipe spills promptly, avoid harsh chemicals, and protect the surface from excessive heat.

Do my cabinets need to be installed before the countertop template?

Yes. All base cabinets must be completely installed, secured, properly positioned, and level before we take the final countertop measurements.

New Kitchen Remodeling & Countertop Project FAQs

Is all quartz slab of the same bundle the same?

Quartz slabs from the same color collection are designed to be highly consistent. While the base color and overall pattern remain the same, slight variations in veining and pattern placement may occur between slabs, giving the surface a more natural look.

Can I select my exact slab?

For natural stone such as granite, marble, quartzite, and dolomite, we highly recommend viewing and selecting your slabs whenever possible because every slab is unique. Quartz patterns can also vary between slabs and bundles.

Do I need to remove my existing countertops?

Not necessarily. Removal and disposal of existing countertops can be added to your project if needed. We will confirm this during your estimate.

Do my appliances need to be available during the template?

Any appliance that affects the countertop dimensions—such as a cooktop, range, or specialty appliance—should have the specifications available before fabrication. In some cases, we may need the actual appliance on site.

Does the sink need to be available before template?

Yes. If you are providing your own sink, it should be available by the time of template or before fabrication so we can confirm the correct cutout and installation requirements.

Is plumbing included with countertop installation?

No. Plumbing disconnect and reconnect are not included unless specifically stated in your estimate or contract. A plumber may be required to reconnect the sink, faucet, garbage disposal, and other plumbing components after installation.

Can I use my kitchen immediately after installation?

We recommend allowing approximately 12 hours after installation before reconnecting plumbing or putting significant stress on the countertops, sinks, or seams. This allows adhesives and silicone to properly cure.

How much overhang can I have on my Island?

The appropriate overhang depends on the countertop design and support underneath it. Standard overhang is 12 inches. Larger overhangs may require additional brackets or structural support to safely support the stone.
